Ke Ola Pono - Chronic Disease Self Management

The Elderly Affairs Division, in collaboration with its partners, is offering Chronic Disease Self Management (CDSMP) workshops on Oahu. Call 768-7700 for class schedules. Learn more about the nationally recognized CDSMP and Hawai'i Ke Ola Pono program.

 

Family Caregiver Awareness Day and Resource Fair

Educate legislators and their staff about caregiving issues and learn about available resources. Friday, February 26, 2010, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the State Capitol (3rd floor).

 

New System for Determining The Handi-Van Eligibility

The City and County of Honolulu has implemented a new application system for determining eligibility for TheHandi-Van, the City’s paratransit service for people with disabilities who are unable to independently use TheBus.

 

Weatherization Assistance Program -- American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (WAP-ARRA)

Helps low-income individuals and families reduce energy consumption and utility costs through free energy saving devices, including solar water heater systems, and energy conservation education. Click here to learn more
