Honolulu Committee on Aging


As a requirement under the Older Americans Act 306(a)(6)(D), the Elderly Affairs Division has an established Advisory Council known as the Honolulu Committee on Aging (HCOA) to provide advice on: developing and administering the Area Plan, conducting public hearings, representing the interests of older persons, and receiving and commenting on all community policies, programs and actions which affect older persons.

Members of the HCOA are appointed for three-year terms by the Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu. The current membership comprises the following individuals:

All plenary meetings of the HCOA are open to the public and, unless otherwise specified, will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on scheduled meeting dates (typically, bi-monthly on the third Friday). The meeting schedule for the next several months is:

March 20, 2009
May 15, 2009
July 17, 2009
September 18, 2009
November 20, 2009

The venue and times for each meeting will be finalized approximately one month prior to the scheduled meeting. To obtain copies of the agenda for the next scheduled meeting, minutes from past meetings, or any other information relating to the HCOA, please
