Description:
The Hawaii Civil Rights Commission receives, investigates, conciliates, and adjudicates complaints of discrimination. Enforces State laws regarding prohibition of discrimination practices based on an individual's gender, race, ancestry, national origin, religion, color, disability status, marital status, familial status, age, arrest and court record, National Guard participation or sexual orientation in employment, housing, public accommodations, and access to state and state-funded services. Complaints must be filed within 180 days from the alleged act of discrimination.
